Itinerary
- Komani Lake
- At 8:00, we will leave Tirana to start our tour. The first stop on the way after breakfast is Komani Lake. It was created in the early 1970s when the rough Drini valley was dammed, allowing Albania to quickly establish its own industrial base and become into an exporter of electricity. We set off on a boat ride that takes us between mountains rising to a height of 1000–1500 meters and past a string of deep, beautiful lakes that are connected, all with no evidence of civilization. By boat, it takes one and a half hours to get to the Shala River and return.

- Many tourists refer to Shala's River, also known as Thailand of Albania, as the most beautiful pearl in Koman's Lake. This river's unique characteristics include its hazy tint and clean water. The massive, high cliffs, covered with trees and verdant vegetation, appear to reach the sky in an attempt to preserve the beauty that mother nature has so kindly given upon our eyes and souls. Remember to pack your swimwear, since a few of us may venture into this paradise known as the Albanian Thailand for a swim. To reach to Komani Lake, we board the boat again. We then make our way back to Tirana by car after this long but amazing adventure.
